here are some highlights of the many types of cultural dances that are performed at the nanticoke powwow. each one tells a unique story held together by the distinct rhythm of the drum.
sadly, i seem to be neglecting my personal work lately, in trying to keep up with the workflow while in peak season. i was determined however to share a few photos from the annual nanticoke powwow that i attended in early september. the powwow is held each year in millsboro, delaware. if you haven't yet been, be sure to mark next year's dates of september 12th and 13th on your calendar as it's a beautiful cultural experience for the whole family.
hard to believe little sadie is over a month old already. here are some shots from her most recent photo shoot. stay tuned as i'm sure there will be many more to come.
how often we take for granted our beautiful state parks. here are some highlights from the stover family shoot taken at bellevue state park this past saturday. enjoy.
some favorites taken at scenic fischer's park just outside the town of skippack, pennsylvania. thanks to connie and mike for hanging in there; we managed to grab a few memorable shots despite the humidity.
sometimes, something quite unexpected happens which helps to create a killer shot. here i was, kneeling down, focusing in on this family's footprints as they walked in the sand when an inquisitive seagull crossed into the frame. i wasn't sure whether it was checking out the new lens or soliciting food, but either way i was grateful for it's interest.
